IMPORTANT:
There are THREE main missing pet Facebook pages/groups where missing pets from all over the province can be listed: (1) NL Helping Missing Pets (group), (2) NL Lost Pets Network (page), and (3) Lost Pets NL (page).
Use these THREE main pages/groups to notify people of missing pets and be sure to have a listing added to the St. John's SPCA webpage at St. John's SPCA - Lost and Found web page - many people are not on Facebook and the SPCA web page is a logical place that people might think to look online.

ADVANTAGES OF LISTING MISSING PETS
AND SIGHTINGS ON HELPING LOST PETS
Some lost pets get home quickly whereas others take a while, sometimes quite a while. There are still many missing pets out there, some very long-term now, and their owners should consider listing them on the Helping Lost Pets (HeLP) database. HeLP was developed by Rob Goddard, a pet rescuer residing in Ontario. HeLP is a truly Canadian pet recovery registry, and unlike many other missing pet registries HeLP is entirely FREE to use.
Missing pet notices remain front and center in the HeLP database whereas older listings tend to get lost in old timelines on Facebook pages. Don't let the opportunity to recover your pet slip past you simply because your missing pet report is buried in hundreds of old reports from weeks or even months ago. On HeLP your missing pet report will always be visible and easily found.
You can add a missing/found pet directly to the Helping Lost Pets website (HeLP) by (1) using the active Lost/Found Pet Portal button above. Alternatively, (2) you can visit the main website at www.helpinglostpets.com using a PC (to access the full site) or a Tablet/Smartphone (mobile version).
BE SURE TO TURN ON THE TRACKING FEATURE!
Once you have listed your lost pet or a pet you have found you will receive an email which contains links to create a FREE Poster. This poster may be printed or shared on Facebook, PINNED on Pinterest or even Tweeted.
If you need additional guidance, there is a tutorial that shows you how to create the poster and post it to this Facebook Page and other Facebook pages at http://www.helpinglostpets.com/put-your-poster-on-facebook.aspx Best of luck getting this missing pet back
